Senior Projects

Our initiatives dedicated to the well-being and support of the elderly in our community

QADA Project

Program for accompaniment and support of seniors

QADA is the pioneer in the Ward-Gold sector. The project promotes a positive image of aging, combats ageism and social exclusion, and fosters the inclusion of vulnerable communities. It also highlights the social history of Saint-Laurent, marked by diversity and intercultural coexistence. The project showcases the richness of seniors' experiences and knowledge, contributing to the geographic, economic, and socio-cultural development of the neighborhood.

ITMAV Project

Workplace initiative with vulnerable seniors

ITMAV Program
The ITMAV program (Initiatives de travail du milieu près des aînés en situation de vulnerability) is a program of the Government of Quebec and the Ministry of Health and Social Services. It aims to prevent and reduce the social isolation of seniors, particularly those experiencing vulnerable situations.

Main objectives of the ITMAV program:

  • Build a bond of trust with vulnerable seniors in their living environment (neighborhood, low-cost housing, shopping mall, library, etc.).
  • Identify isolated or at-risk seniors who have little or no access to existing services.
  • Support and refer these individuals to appropriate resources based on their needs (health, social services, housing, food, emotional support, etc.).
  • Promote their social inclusion by helping them participate in community life or break their isolation.
